TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN

TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN

here at frecklefarm organics we believe a healthy skin care routine is one part of six basics we follow to having radiant skin and life.

  • organic skin care is an important aspect of staying healthy and being beautiful.
    • skin is your biggest organ and has many functions:
      • it helps to regulate body temperature, bacterial colonies on its surface form part of the immune system,
      • it is one of the most important organs of elimination- sweating out toxins and waste products from the body,
      • it is an environmental barrier – preventing our water-rich bodies from drying out, sensory nerves are abundant in the skin – making it an invaluable organ of touch.
      • the skin, when stimulated by uv light, also produces the pigment melanin, this darkens the skin to pro-tect it from sun-damage.
      • produces its own moisturizer called sebum from special glands called sebaceous glands.
        • sebum also contains natural salts and lactic acid which help to maintain the natural and slightly acidic (4.5 to 6) of skin and hair. over or under production of sebum can result in either greasy or dry skin and hair.
      • make sure your skin care is edible because if you wouldn't eat it, it doesn't belong on your skin. many conventional products are packed with harmful ingredients that are being carried into your body.
      • look at the ingredients and know what to avoid.
  • nutrition is a major part of how you feel and how you look. it is important to understand that the skin, like every other part of the body, is self-repairing, self-maintaining and exclusively constructed from the nutrients provided in the diet. our body goes through a complete renewal cycle every 7 years, where all body parts are renewed. skin is able to completely replace itself every 30 days.  guess what is used to regenrate your skin: nuitrients from the food you eat.  you really are what you eat. eat healthy and you will have more energy, look and feel better.
  • hydration is essential to having smooth, firm skin without cellulite. the quality of the water is also important, tap water is full of chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, synthetic hormones and recycled sewerage! a water filter can help with this and it is possible to get filters to use on taps and showerheads too. the skin cells, just like every other cell in the body, are over 70% water and this need must be fulfilled to keep those cells perky.
  • rest! stress is one of the major reasons of early aging and all disease. if you want to be healthy and look healthy, make sure to get enough beauty sleep.
    • "You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day - unless you're too busy; then you should sit for an hour.” - Old Zen adage
  • exercise your body. it's a machine that needs to use all the parts, or they get rusty and stiff. exercise increases the blood flow (and hence the flow of nutrients) to the skin cells. also by doing fun exercise like trampoline. you lift your spirits and conciousness. yoga enhances your life balance, stimulates and opens up all parts of your body.
  • stay positive! if you want to see miracles in your life - stay positive and grateful, set positive skin goals. you will see how your life unfolds based on your thoughts alone.  #truth
